Practitioner of Chinese Medicine
After studying Acupuncture for 3 years, Ben graduated in 2002 with a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Salford University; Ben spent a month in one of the most famous hospitals in China, The First Teaching Hospital Tianjin. He then worked for over two years in one of the largest Chinese medicine companies in the UK. During this time he gained invaluable experience in all aspects of Chinese Medicine, through the organisations and colleagues he worked with.
In 2004 Ben organised one of the largest Chinese Medicine conferences to date to be held in the UK on behalf of the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and ShiZhen TCM Ltd. This brought delegates and scholars from Europe, America and Asia to Manchester to discuss Chinese Medicine and exhibit new products.
Ben then continued into private practice in Manchester while undertaking a Masters degree in Chinese Herbal Medicine which he completed after 3 years in 2007. He then completed his thesis on evaluating the use of Chinese Herbs for physical trauma compared to Western Medicine. This has encouraged future trips to the USA for further study on treating trauma and sporting injuries with Chinese Herbs.
